I've always had bad experiences at PRIDE events. Maybe it's just Alberta. Crazy religious fundamentalist Alberta. Plus the parade here is really lame, the only real draw is the beer tent. It's so sad.

I think this belongs in "discussions".

Actually, that's how I have made some of my best friends. I met Tracy just walking around the campus at USF, and we started talking, and it went on for 8 hours, and we became best friends.

that whole if you ask they dont tell thing was just started up as a rumor... probably through movies or something since ive seen it mentioned in a ton of movies like, "BLOW" pee wee herman mentions it i think

I'm way behind on this, and only read a few of the earlier posts, but does an explosion mean violence, or just an explosion? If something blows up, even if its set, i don't see it as an act of violence. Just my two cents.

I think blowing things up = violence. Even if nobody is injured.

I just heard about the background behind this story today after researching it. I found it incredibly sad. I feel so sorry for him, and I really want to mail him a letter. It made me feel better though, knowing so many people are pulling for him and are on his side.

The fact that Eric and his organization were trying to commit a crime, vandalism at the very least, is wrong. However, the actions committed by the FBI were equally wrong, if not worse. One can argue that if the government wouldn't have gotten involved then Eric would've never planned out his attacks. The bottom line is that Eric was attempting to commit an act of violence which was heavily influenced by a government informant. It is in my opinion that Eric should be released, even if he truly intended to commit the acts, with or without having met the informant because the government informant made the mistake of presenting the ideas and buying the material. Had "Anna" just followed along and nodded her head, then the government would have every right to lock all of them up. This wasn't the case, and a government worker initiated a crime. If that isn't entrapment, then entrapment doesn't exist.
