I recommend Whitechapel, Winds of Plague, Suicide Silence, and Bring Me the Horizon.
No matter how many scene girls drool over this genre, I still think its a fun listen. I like the music, but the vocals are....I suppose "goofy" is the best word for it. Have you ever heard "Metal By Numbers"? If not..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chiVMrWMHko Yes, that's Scott Ian rocking out with Brian Poshein.

Yes, that's Scott Ian rocking out with Brian Poshein. Oh my, that was amazing. Haha But ya, the vocals are pretty crazy. Its an acquired taste, and if you listen to enough of it, it definitely grows on you.

Have you seen The Comedians of Comedy (the TV show or movie, both are great)? Brian Poseihn is brilliant. In the movie, he makes a gay porno with Zach Galifinakis. Here's a link to the video, but it is definately NSFW. But funny. NSFW DO NOT CLICK - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6Pv5-pMNKQ - NSFW DO NOT CLICK

| No. I'll check them out. What is "Techdeath"?
Eww....Victory Records. The rule is any band on Victory sucks. Wasn't there a song called "Victory Records Sucks"?
(Okay, I looked that song up. It's about "selling out", so that's bullshit. Nevermind.)
Actually, I love the music, but the vocals don't do it for me. But damn I love the music.

| I was about to say, "What about streetlight!?"...but ya...Victory blows.
Anyone ever heard of the band Psyopus? Probably the most technically mind blowing band Ive ever heard, but they arent boring. They are like a grindcore/death metal/experimental kind of band.
Its some pretty interesting stuff.

| Techdeath= technical metal. very complex riffs with crazy off beat timing. BTBAM is probably one of the only bands i listen to off of Victory Records anymore. even if you not into that type of music you have to at least give the band credit for being very very talented musicians. very few bands can pull it off. and they are flawless in concert | |

| Yeah, I'm one for the woahs, but sometimes I mix it up and sing a bit of both. Depends how much I've been drinking really. | |

| first time i saw them play walking, i started to sing the second verse, but once i noticed the crowd was singing the "whoas," i started crying uncontrollably. it got worse with "WE ARE UNTOUCHABLE!" now when i hear them play it, i start tearing up, and don't know what to sing.
same thing happened to me at defiance, ohio. when they did chad's favorite song, the crowd started "la-laing" during the violin solo. couldn't stop crying if my life depended on it.
thank god "honesty and emotion are not looked down upon," huh?

| I took another mom with me to a show at The Masquerade. Her daughter is a huge AM! fan, so we were all being way cool in my favorite spot (behind Warren and to the right)
I will never forget the look of total horror on the girls face during Sink Florida Sink when she had to deal with us two old ladies on stage bouncing around and screaming - "Your gonna tuck it up!!"
hee hee ... she may never live it down if any of her friends saw that show.
