I'm preparing a exhibition for a local museum. I'm quite pressed for time. The deadline for the texts to be shown in the exhibition is tomorrow, but I'm going to stretch it to Saturday. It's not the first time that I have done my work within the last few days, even at night; but this is the first time the result will be displayed for several months where everybody can read it. So, I hope I don't write too much bullshit. And now I'm going to get me a Club Mate to reach 100% performance for the night. Hoa!

I absolutely love the people I work with. Apparently enough to make out with one and sleep with another, and declare with yet another that we would make out at some point, all in one night. Jesus.

Okay, where exactly do you work and... do they hire more people?

I am currently looking for a job, and trying to figure out how to go into business for myself.

I recently lost a (dream job) due to a shitty economy. I was the Internet Manger/Graphic Designer/Social Media and Marketing/etc.

I wasn't even upset when it happened; I knew it was coming. My job was "Eliminated", and I was not "Fired". The Powersports industry (Motocross, Motorcycles, ATVs, etc) is in a lot of trouble. Last I heard, the company I worked for is not doing well, which sucks because I don't take it personal. I still keep in close contact with everyone I used to work with.

Now, I'm waiting on multiple job(s) I have sent my resume to. It's a "Hurry up and wait" situation", which I think is the worst. In my opinion, I have a good resume, willing to do anything and move anywhere - but it's hard to beat out a former CEO of a Multi-Million Company who is in the same situation as me.

Sorry, I just needed to vent.

I have a job interview this morning at the library of my college. Not my dream but I really need some money so I hope I get the job

Doing an internship in a hospital.
Without pay but hopefully it'll help for the future.
Hopefully this internship won't suck that much. Already been exploited by a design bureau and a hotel.

Got the job even though I was late for the job interview. Starting 2nd April.

I'm a front-end web developer with a federal agency. Self taught. I dropped out of college... twice... for a somewhat related but not really major.

So what does a front-end web developer actually do? For me, it's mostly CSS. I maintain and develop a CSS library to maintain a standard look and feel for a Top 500 Site on the Internet. I also to the CSS for Javascript widgets. I work in tandem with a designer to make HTML prototypes of PSD mockups. Uh... and lots of debugging. People write support tickets needing help with CSS or if the library broke something.

For the record, I love it. Definitely my dream job. Flexible schedule (I can even work from home if I need to), generous benefits. I'm really stoked.

Sure beats my other jobs:
1. Store Manager, promoted to Assistant District Manager/Training Manager of a Verizon Wireless franchise.
2. Cashier -> Customer Service -> Customer Service Manager -> Zone Manager of Front-End of Walmart
3. Insurance Agent (temporary)
4. Audio Engineer for Comcast (okay, that one was pretty awesome)

So uh yeah.

I'm really pissed off at my one job right now. This week I've been in mourning and told only my bosses because I don't want to have to talk about it work. my manager told one of our co workers what was going on which he shouldn't have. She then made the comment to me if I would attend her funeral. The last thing she should bring up to someone in mourning. Didn't help that I was missing a funeral in another state.

The whole situation is fucked.

Welll, I think I'm getting fired from my dream job, and my second job has been threatened if I don't pick up the pace. Fuck my life.

I'm seriously considering to cancel my (funded!) PhD position which is going on for six months now. I'm getting nowhere and the people I work with and the whole place are giving me a hard time. They are friendly, true, but it's not the life I want to live.
The last few days I was searching for employers in the US (and Australia, emmsmem!) to spend a few months working there; to gain professional experience and also to visit a country that in my head somehow evolved into some kind of perfect place where I could leave my problems and sorrows behind. Of course reason keeps telling me that this is not a perfect place, but I can't help it, I feel like one of those 19th century European emigrants hoping for a better future.

Just started up full time dishwashing at a restaurant that just opened for business on Tuesday. Actually having money again will be most delightful.

Job interview tomorrow. First one ever. OMG!   

I got fired from Best Buy after working there for 5+ years (over a 5 dollar discrepancy), but it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I actually got to spend the holidays with my family this past year!

How did it go?

I started with sitting down on one of the interviewer's chairs, but that was only an expression of my self-confidence which I'm sure made an impression on the people. haha.
It was okay, not bad, not perfect, okay.
