My friend is over right now, so I'm spouting of questions. HPs are pretty good, Dell is pretty consistent about having one part of their computers break consistently, Asus is pretty good but from what he hears their customer support is worse off then dell or HP.

I'd call you a consumer, but I'm so much of a technology whore I couldn't manage it. My spare cash usually goes to something geeky.

I have a friend who works at that place, and I'm going to ask how much of a discount he can get it for, and if it's reasonable, I might consider it.

If my brother gets it for his PS3, I'd probably play it. That said, I'm considering getting it for my Xbox, so probably won't.

I heard the first Crysis was pretty intense. Was that the one where you're on the boat, and you go through the story by going into peoples' memories or something?

Nah, not that one. You're a marine in 2020 with a badass invisi/strength/speed/armour suit on, blowing the crap out of some locals somewhere. Graphically amazing, not a bad game either!

Yeah, I think I'm thinking of Cryostasis or something like that. Either way, I heard the graphics were incredible in the game. Is it out for consoles, or just PC?

I *think* Crysis 2 might have a console version with the graphics turned down a bit, but Crysis and Crysis: Warhead (stand alone expansion of the first game) are PC only. It's pretty much the best looking game ever and demands a beast of a PC to play it properly :/

Yeah, one of my friends in Tanzania had a computer that could play it, but I never actually saw it played. His computer kicked my brain's ass.

So, guess what. I still haven't bought a laptop yet. After salivating over the newest shit, I took a step back, and realized what I really wanted. I'm probably not going to play nearly as many games as I once thought. And I got good advice saying I should buy one of the cheapest laptops I can, and use it. Most likely it's going to do what you want, and if something does go wrong, I'll know what I need to get for my next laptop. The good thing is that I'll only spend a tiny bit on a laptop, and wont get buyers remorse.

Plus, even if I have to get a new computer in half a year, technology will probably out date itself that I can get even better hardware for the same price. Bring it on boxing day (this will be the first time I attempt boxing day shopping.)

I'd say that's a good decision for the laptop, and good luck with the Boxing Day shopping. I know I won't be attempting.

So I'd thought I'd be smart, and not go to bed, just stay up until 6 fucking am, when the store opened. I leave the house at 6 am, and it's a nice peaceful drive, only 5 other cars...

but then the parking lots almost full, and the store is packed as fuck. In total it took me 35 min, from start to finish, not bad.... but never again. I hate boxing day.

I just completed a 70 minute Assassin's Creed 3 (PC) mission (Sequence 3: Infiltrate camp without being detected, sabotage 2 canons, don't kill soldiers and steal a map) and this was one of the most exciting moments of success in the last few months. I still can't believe that I managed to leave the camp alive. What a kick ass game!

(Well, maybe some people completed that mission in 15 minutes, but I don't care, I still run on adrenalin! Wooohooo!)
