Thoroughly enjoying the new music; they did a great job at switching it up. And I just got back from my first Triple Rock show (Mustard Plug), that venue is amazing!!! The acoustics are fantastic in there.

ObvioUsly not enough of you have been downloading this album because if you had, then this thread would be as big as the Gaslight Anthem one by now. I'm disappointed in all of you (except you guys who have checked it out, you get an A).

I've been away from the internets for a while but I'm back and I can't stop listening to this album. Seriously. CANNOT STOP. My favourite track is Gainesville but it always makes me feel like weeping at the thought of missing another Fest. That only makes every one ever and every one for the next few years. Sigh.

It was so worth the wait. They need to come back to the UK. NOW.

Pat wants everyone to know that the band used autotune for their voices on the new record. He said they were trying to get away from a fucking stupid trend and they'd been shooting up way too much heroine.

Oh, and the show was fanfuckingtastic. I smell terrible right now.

The band has also confirmed via a 4 am drunken myspace message that they are near a record deal with Warner Bros. More details unlikely to come.

Jesus, I downloaded Civil War (C I V I L W A R, CIVILWAR, Blah blah blah) the other day, and it is flawless.

Pat said he didn't care if anyone downloaded the record, he said, "I would've done the same thing." They were more pissed off at the guy who leaked it because "he is a professional and he has a job to do." The band was upset that the guy, who they know personally, had gotten the record to review it and such, but had decided to do something utterly unprofessional and leak the record. They know who he is and they are pissed mostly at him, not at all of us who downloaded the record.

Anyway, that's what (drunken) Pat said when I saw them about a week ago.

If you like the record, buy it, please. D4 is amazing and they're a great group of guys who probably don't make much money to begin with.

I found the blog entry of the guy who leaked it because they posted it on punknews, and I was surprised to see that it's the same kid from Racket Magazine who did a pretty good interview with Tom awhile ago. Bummer.

I used to listen to D4 years ago, but kind of stopped for some reason. Civil War just totally made me love them again.

Civil War is amaaazing, I've been listening to it so much lately.

I've stopped listening to it now so that I can fully appreciate it when it comes out. I've satisfied my curiosity and two weeks of quiet contemplation is what I need.

Shall definitely be buying that - if I hadn't downloaded it then I probably wouldn't have bothered.

I also agree. If I wasn't supposed to use my overdraft for these things, they shouldn't have made it interest-free.
