And they're usually 100% correct on these sort of things.

I wouldn't of expected this song to be a single at all. I don't understand the reasoning here.

Love the song, but it's kinda not something you'd expect as the lead single. New Wave has Wp4p which was straight up punk like older Against Me! in a way. same with SFAFC and The Energizer. So far of all the songs we've heard High Pressure Low falls under that kinda type of song.

Teenage Anarchist is gonna piss off the old fans, and with the synth and echos really distance themselves.

I talked to one of my buddies who works at a radio station where i live and Against Me will be playing in march, and he said they were getting the song White Crosses to play to promote the concert, so I assumed that would be the lead single..plus its the title track so its kinda 2 birds with one stone.

i dont think they care who they piss off. why should they? its not like they are trying to get people to buy the record by saying or convincing them that it has an old school sound like crime or RAR, they know it doesn't so why would they try to market it that way.

I like the choice, i was just expecting a safe pick like High Pressure Low or White Crosses, then the second single be the song thats new style sounding (Thrash Unreal on new wave).

When the song is released there are going to be about 400 "from underground anarcho punks to stadium rockers" stories written.

I bet Rolling Stone does it first and gets the title to the album wrong, states that Kyle's album cover is the official one, says Warren is still in the band, and refers to Eternal Cowboy as their first record.

Beautiful, Mike. The line about EC was what got me. But, I would love for Kyle to get published in Rolling Stone.

I don't know if this song should be their first single... but I'm still excited. Would be even MORE excited if I didn't have to wait 2 months!!!!

I loved this song when I first heard it. I absolutely HATE the new version. I'm very disappointed in the way they've re-worked some of these songs. I really do not think that Butch Vig has been a positive influence on the band. I said nothing original, interesting, or insightful in this post.

in my mind all of the songs have been downgraded.
i liked the earlier versions of all the songs that we have known about.
listening to the new version of suffocation bums me out.

The New because of the shame is just as wonderful and satisfying.

I honestly don't care about any changes provided that Bob Dylan's Dream is on the record

Oh I meant the version I have seen so far or at least a version with little alterations like they did with white crosses and teenage anarchist
