It was hard to get some of the ingredients like blackstrap molasses (Schwarze Molasse) or tapioca starch (used regular starch instead). And of course we don't get canned pumpkin here so I bought a whole pumpkin, roasted it for 20 minutes in the oven and prepared my own pumpkin puree. With all ingredients ready it was quite easy.
I just had a piece. It tastes... really different from what people here would expect from what looks like a normal "cake". But on the other hand pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves etc. go really well together! I would eat another piece if the pie wouldn't have been made for tonight's Christmas party. I'm afraid there won't be any leftovers.
