| I need to send a friend in the US $25, without using paypal or a bank-to-bank transfer.
How on earth can I do this, from my UK bank account? Any ideas? Can those in the US cash UK made cheques normally?
I'm gonna go ask my bank in the next few days, I just wondered if anyone knew anything about this and could maybe help me out.

| Regardless of the currency it still begs the question how I actually get it out there...? Can't really just stick money in an envelope and send it, sadly. How about traveller's cheques or something? Do they even still exist?
I've no real experience in this despite being well travelled, since I just get over there and stick my lovely Mastercard in the wall and it gives me money.

Same, as "risky" as people think sending cash is, just wrap it up in paper so it's not visible through the envelope.
