warped tour new york collasium

being from ireland i always was dieing to go to warped tour. so this summer i spent the 3 mounts in NY i had a great time and i final got to see warped.... i have to say i was a bit let down.
apart from starting early and me missing the Briggs because of it i also taught the croud was many made up of 14 year girls who had more intersted in beeing cool and writing "free Hugs" on there chest then the music. the croud at Against me was so subjued and so many of them were just hangingg out for say anything on next. i was happy by the end i managed to find a pocket of people who liked AM! but its was anoying to see such a great performance by the band met with such a crap audence.
i was woundering was it like this for most of warped tour? the Cali dates seemed to go OFF in compassion to the NY Show well on youtube it did haha.
it was the same for the bronx and most outher band i seen that day.
the hole thing but me off warped tour i dont think there was any think realy possitive to say about it.. plus you could only drink a beer in like a cage area what the fuck is that about... i was at so many festivals in europe and theres nothing like that.
ok im just ranting now.

o yea i also got to Hot water music and circle jerks play while i was in the states and that was amazing as i taught id never get to see them play live...

Yeah, that happens s lot at Warped Tour. A bunch of stupid people but at least you had fun. Next time you venture o n over here I would say go to an AM! headlining show, or whenever they played in Ireland. Muchhhh better.

Yeah, warped tour used to be a lot better years back- the bands that have played the last few years have been more trendy. Also, NY warped tour used to be on Randall's Island which was sososososooo much better. The crowds at warped tour are usually pretty bad, and so is the sound (at least at Randalls, because everything was outside and sometimes bands sound would overlap), but it's better if you go for the whole festival not just the music.

yea i seen them at leeds fest in o7 and there were amazing and the croud when mad and at there own show in Ireland and there were amazing i got chatn to themand all at it and got to see sound cheak was good. mad a bit of an ass of my self i was satyed to tom about pint of gunnin and called it "pints of guinness are good for you" witch is an old saying of there... was didnt realalise til after but was woundering why i looked at me funny when iwas sayed it....... fuckn posser haha.

Yeah, Warped Tour can be a bummer. I went to way too many Warped Tours this summer, I think the people there just ruin it and it becomes even worse if the weather is bad. I don't regret going though, I had fun during AM!'s set or going to meet & greets. Other than that, it's gone downhill and it's not all it's chalked up to be.

05 and 06 were pretty decent years, at least I had fun.

I think Warped Tour is most fun the younger you are. I'll be 20 next year, I don't think I'll be attending anymore Warped Tours, even if it's a good line-up. I'm like ancient in Warped Tour years.

I had fun in 06, which was the last time AM! played Warp. Joan Jett was there, and her bus was next to AM! so she was onstage with us and hung around with Warren a lot while we were there. I was star-struck seeing a rocker from my generation hanging out with my son.

haha 20 is old in warped years im 21 maybe that had some thing to do with it them Haha but there is a short Cue at the Bar tho.......... lifes about the silver lining i gesss

Yeah, I used to go every year, and I think I stopped going when I turned 20. Eventually all the kids that you used to be like are just obnoxious and you can't get away. I used to go to Skate and Surf too, and I thought it was the greatest... but then again I was also staying in a hotel with my best friends for a weekend on the jersey shore, so that can be pretty cool when you're in high school... I'm too old for all that. Haha.

Maybe it skips a generation - AM!'s oldest fans were there this year and '06. What a riot to see "Grampa" on stage with Joan Jett!!!!!

funny story, i was thinking about how bad i want a hug. in thinking about that, i was reminded of those stupid fucking idiots who write "FREE HUGS" on themselves. i was about to make a post about how stupid people who give out "free hugs" are. i think this sums it up nicely.
