Siz, I think I remember you saying your name is Jess, I used to have a veiled chameleon that looked almost exactly like Melvin. Growing up, my brother and I wanted to be herpetologists. We mainly had snakes but geckos and other lizards would make their way in our house. Hah.

I wanted to get into herpetology too, but tattooing kind of fell into my lap. Reptiles are super interesting and a little more unique than a dog or cat haha. I love dogs and cats too but reptiles are damn addictive.
What were some of your favourites that you've kept? Do you still have any?

Unfortunately, no. I moved into a place that's not very reptile friendly. I just got three cats. Haha. And you definitely said it best, reptiles really are addictive. At times, we would have up to 20-25 snakes in our house. My Hognose Snake was sooo badass. He was the only one of his kind that could just chill on me. The Milksnake we had was one of my favorites, too.

My tattoo artist, Lily, was really into herpetology before she started tattooing. Haha.

I used to have lizards. A few actually, then one day we went out of town, and the person I had watching them totally forgot to turn the heating pads off, and they ended up overheating the tanks =/

Now we have a havanese that wears a doggy snuggie because my mom sears he gets cold.

Dude, that sucks about the lizards. Shitty way to go. Although, dogs are always good.

I love the dog, he's just... I dunno. He's too much sometimes.
I'm used to big dogs, our last one was a German shepherd who was awesome... might have some pictures of him.


that's him when he was old. Had to put him to sleep a couple years ago. Fuckin' loved that dog.

i saw on dog dna that it's a good idea to read to your dog. it teaches them to become better listeners and helps them form a bond with you. i'm taking a class on the lyric (poetry) and it makes much more sense to read the poems out loud, so i figured what the hell. now, every time i pick a book up he comes strolling on over. he fucking loves robert frost.

We recently were a little forced to put her to sleep, no worries, it was her time. I do miss her, so I was reminiscing with some old pictures. Good times.
