Anyhoo... long time AM! fan, first time joiner. I haven't been on a band's forum in years... probably over a decade or so. First and foremost, AM! is my favorite band despite my less than stellar feelings about "White Crosses." What I do when I like bands is listen the fuck out of their music, attend shows, and buy merch. I felt like the worst fan ever for only finding out three weeks ago that the lead singer formerly known as Tom Gabel identifies as a woman and prefers to go by Laura Jane Grace. Didn't surprise me though; I had suspicions with "The Ocean." But that's cool. Still my favorite band.

So... about me. My name is Meg. I'm 25, live in DC area. I'm a front-end web developer for the feds in a socially-inept department, so my piercings, leather boots, tattoos, and dyed hair isn't an issue since I don't work with people. I dig music in general. I've got a last.fm (username: funkilla) and uh... yeah.

Yeah, it was already sold out by the time I found out about it. Then I kept trying to find tickets, and gave up. Found out uh... yesterday that AM! canceled, so I didn't feel so bad about it. I am really late to these things. I swear, I'll be like, HAI GUISE DID U KNO PLUTO ISNT A PLANET ANYMORE?! one of these days.

I was homeless, once. Had to squat an old house I used to live in. That was fun/creepy as fuck, until I got locked out. Fortunately most of my stuff was being held onto by a couple of friends.
