On the Joe Strummer documentary, The Future is Unwritten, Joe talks about his days as a squatter. I'm paraphrasing, but he said something to the effect of, "We were making a statement. We were telling the world that you can't have empty flats when people are homeless on the street". I was watching that a few weeks ago, and when he said that, I was reminded a lot about the situation we're in right now.
