Was this Laura's first true love? Maybe it wasn't something that was public at the time, or still is, but she realized she was in love with him? I know she doesn't identify as being homosexual and is still in a relationship/marriage with Heather.

Just something that stirred my mind. Could very well just be about a female friend, or perhaps, Pope's girlfriend.

I have no clue how you got any of that from this song.

She's a trans woman married to a woman. How is that not gay?
