Black Me Out (Electric version and acoustic version)

I've been tabbing out this song. It's so much easier when you can see what he plays

A good amount of Against Me! songs can be played after a few weeks of learning guitar. Toms solo stuff on the other hand, to play it properly is kinda hard.
But i wanna play this song, i just suck at tabbing. I got a C to start, then im lost

Yeah, Tom is the master at chords, well, the chord progressions are simple, it's just he likes to move them all around the fret board, and it can get tricky. I'll post the tabs when I'm done. I have the intro already.

It's been so long since i've tabbed stuff out, it's not perfect, but I'm sure you'll get the general idea.

I'm glad you like it... it has some killer parts though, you have to stretch your fingers a lot.

Yeah, it took me a while to get it down, but its really fun to play.

thanks! you can also use whatever power chords you want for the song, I just tabbed as close to how tom played it. On the second line of the intro, at the start, I also play it on the 7th and 9th fret on the A and D string, makes it a bit easier on the fingers.... yeah, you can basically play it wherever you feel it most comfortable.

The lyrics to some of the newer songs are definitely lacking

The Adversaries is the only good band that Tom was in. And fuck Kill Devil Hills, Andrew sold out after The Jawas. Jay sold out before he left the womb.

Saw them back in '92, so punk back then they didn't even play music, they just sat around watching tv.

I'd say Black Me Out has quickly made it's way to one of my favorite Against Me! songs.
Thanks for the tab too guys. I cant get the part in the intro where it's down by the D Chord. It's just about switching down there and remembering it I guess.
