I think you have a grace period after expiration to renew it, so they probably just locked it in their name to keep somebody else from trying to buy it out from under you. Did you just pay for a 1 year renewal? If so, all of us will mark our calendars to remind you next January!!!

Yea, I read their terms and it says that you have 52 days so we're fine. Yes, please remind me next year. But hopefully next year I won't be apartment hunting...I can only take so much of that.

Nope. I could probably save money by doing a 2 year renewal, but it's too late for this year.

I just realised why I've had no trouble. I still use the old domain name anyway, I never did update my bookmarks.
