So tonight on Mike Davies' Radio 1 Punk Show James and Tom played 3 songs (New Wave, Up the Cuts and Amputations). They also did a short interview where they discussed touring with the Foo Fighters, another tour in the fall and life as newlyweds. Come on now, it would have been incredibly funny if he had to wear a Used shirt in every photo shoot. Props to him for actually listening to their music though, I wouldn't expect most folks to follow through on stuff like that.

I'll admit I used to like The Used, I would sing along TAKE TAKE TAKE TAKE IT AWAYYY, TAKE MY LIFFE. But then I was like ..what the fuck am I saying?

I have a Used hoodie that I wear all the time actually XD . It's very comfortable and matches everything. I only really listen to their first and second records once in a while though, I just lost interest in them, and when I hear their new music it kind of makes me giggle. It sounds like they've gone very Garage Band-happy. Although, as I've established a handful of times on this board, I have fairly low standards for music.

But The Used really do suck, unquestionably. That's why Tom mentioned them by name.

That version of Amputations is much better than the other video we've seen.

yes it is much better than the rip from the video...this song is really growing on me...at first I didnt like it that much...but after a few listens its gettin better.....especially the "what kind of future are you promising us? and "Just another generation" parts....

...the interview was great too...esspecially when he called out "the Used"....I couldnt stop laughing cause he kept trying to retract his statement so many times....its awesome that he followed through on listening to them and then making a judgement...cause they do suck.
