Covers!

Alright so Minty came up with a spiffy idea where we can choose a band every week and then whoever wants to can cover their songs. Sing it, play it, interpretive dance ..whatever you want. I'm not quite sure how we'll all choose a band, any suggestions? I guess each week one person can choose a band. I think it'll be fun!

you should sticky this in the "Other Bands" forum if you're serious about it! it sounds like a badass idea! how do we go about picking bands? just whoever says a band name first that week is the band we do??

Week One - RANCID
Week Two - NOFX
Week Three - Green Day
Week Four - Anti-Flag

The week we do Green Day will be badass, I won't be able to choose a song though!

Actually, if someone wanted to cover The Decline with me, I'd be down. I've been taking time to slowly learn the entire thing (drums).

Well you aren't required to do it every week or anything, it's just if you feel like it.

Green Day, I think I'd do about 5 covers.

Week Five: Leftover Crack

I would recommend Sundowner, maybe the same week as the Lawrence Arms, because some of the songs (Hundred Resolutions, etc.) that people might choose might make more sense to play solo with their Sundowner arrangements, I guess. If that made any sense whatsoever.

I always love doing radical covers, like DWY that AM! did on their DVD, say we could do Boy George or Wham!? :joker:

Why is everyone shitting on Rancid? Tim Armstrong is the only person that saved punk during the 90s period. If I had any musical talent at all, I would be doing a cover of some rancid song
