| Chris Hadfield is on the international space station right now. I"ve just found his twitter/facebook/etc. He makes me want to become an astronaut. He made me feel like a little kid again dreaming of how awesome it would be to be in space. Maybe someday in the future when space tourism is a thing...

| It's definitely one of my life goals to experience space and zero gravity as part of some kind of "space tourism" plan. I think that's highly possible for the next 50 years. | |

watch. this. I would kill a man to go into space. A couple of interesting Facebook pages about the wonders of the Universe, for those who don't already know/follow them: From Quarks to Quasars and The Universe I have the Hubble Ultra-Deep Field image as my desktop background to constantly remind me of how amazingly vast the Universe is.

| I dont think as normal ppl we cant really appreciate the size of space. When an astronomer on a TV show says that the length of that comets tail is 10,000,000 miles long we're just like that's big. But that's really fucking big. Like our TV screens aren't suitable to give an accurate representation of that comets tail. That's like driving to the Fest and back 10,000 times.... but 10,000,000 miles isn't even large, not in space. | |

Yes. Everytime I look at my desktop, I try to comprehend. And then brain is like, "Nah, dude." *'splodes*

| I remember my brother told me about how space was so large that light-speed wasn't fast enough and only by travelling a short distance in an extra dimension (which would, hopefully, equate to thousands of light years in this dimension) could space travel really be done easily. | |
