The Menzingers

I had listened to a few of their songs on Myspace, but I just got A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology...wow. I love it. Check them out if you haven't.

I really like them. I think there's some dude on the forum whose brother is in the band, awesome.

Yeah, awesome band. Got their album from Go Kart forever ago, was high on my 2007 "best of" list.

Their new EP is great too. It was enough to actually get me to buy off of iTunes, which is a tough thing to do!

Seeing them twice next month with Broadway Calls. Should be good.

Hey im the brother! haha. The guitar player and singer is my brother. I grew up with all of them and its fucking awesome seeing them get pretty big. Even tho i personally think my brother is a dick bag they are all super fun nice guys.

I was pretty bummed. They played such a short set tonight.

I was going to drive 2 hours tomorrow to see them again, but if it's for 6 songs, it's not really worth it (Plus, the Aggrolites are playing the Clubhouse tomorrow night!)

Yeah the show tonight was good, but the set was so short, I think that's just how the Phix is, they're sticklers for time.

I guess they're staying at my friends house tonight. I'm just to tired to go and figure out a way home 4 hours from now, when I'm drunk ugh. I wish I could go to Tucson tomorrow, but I just don't have it in me

Pretty pissed that dude who was snapping pictures the whole time snagged a spot in front of me in line, and grabbed the last Broadway Calls LP. Bah!

They have a MySpace. I had talked to Greg a couple weeks ago trying to figure out if there was a venue for the [then] Flagstaff show. They never reached any conclusion, though. (That show would've been ideal. Have a place I could stay in Flagstaff, so I wouldn't be driving home until 1am.)

It was scheduled to be Flagstaff, but apparently it's now Tucson. (I had no clue it was Tucson until tonight. Broadway Calls ignored my 2 messages asking what was up with the show...)

Yeah, could've done without that. When Broadway Calls played Call It Off, someone wound up on my shoulders. Now that is something I don't understand.

Yeah I saw that, after Menzingers I backed off the crowd, it was like random eruptions of hardcore. I like Broadway Calls, but I was there for Menzingers so I kept a safe distance

This band just came up on my Pandora. I gave it a thumbs up.

Hold On Dodge is definitely more enjoyable than the full length.

That's such a solid EP.

Is it just me or are the drums on Hold On, Dodge way too low in the mix?

Hold, On Dodge doesn't sound as good production wise as the LP but the songs are better i think

Hold On, Dodge is better, but there are some glorious moments on Abuse. Like the slow verse of Richard Coury, also yelling "I supply my own divine morality" over and over again. Sooooo good.
