The Flatliners (Canadian)

I love this band to death! I just found out they are doing a European tour and are playing my hometown! They are only doing 3 U.K shows so I'm mega-stoked that they are playing in Bristol.

I wasn't too into The Great Awake. Have given it a couple listens, just seems a bit off.

I first saw this band opening for The Tossers. I LOVE them. Im surprised they're not more popular though...

I think every band on Fat is major popular. Or will be.

Yeah, I've been seeing The Lawerence Arms and The Loved Ones getting alot of attention which Im happy about

Yeah, but The Flats have been getting really big for a long time now. Long before Fat was every interested in them.

Anyway, I get to see these boys tomorrow along with NOFX and No Use For a Name. It's going to be an awesome show!

I finally got to see them last night...easily worth the 3 year wait! They are all great guys too...Chris and I are pretty much the same person.

We all went for a joint after the show too, good times!

saw these guys play with the loved ones and cobra skulls at some house show a couple months ago. they were great live but kind of disappointing on cd.

Did some nice work in Frederction last weekend w/Strike anywhere(who sucked). Anyone?

Thanks Lex. Umm well strike anywhere just didn't do it for me. Not even close. They spent a lot of time in between songs talking about how the government sucks, the media sucks, blah blah.. It was pretty chiche and I didn't pay 20 bucks to preached at. As for the music, they worked hard up there, but couldn't bring the same intensity as the Flatliners, and a lot of the songs sounded the same.

i just saw strike anywhere with the flatliners(the flatliners were awesome but i prefered strike anywhere and things change(local regina band that played with them)) i agree that strike anywhere is very preachy but i love watching them because the lead singer is just so into it. like you can jump up on stage, he'll give you a high five, he really makes the crowd a big part of the show. i like that about them.

Anyone else really psyched for Cavalcade?

I've seen them live three times, they are always awesome but they are always opening for shitty bands.

The new album leaked this week. From what I've heard I like it better than Great Awake but not nearly as much as Destroy to Create.

I haven't been this excited for an album in years. Probably since Oh! Calcutta!

If the rest of the songs are even 1/10 as good as Filthy Habits, it will be record of the year. I can't explain how much this band blows my skirt up.

So has anyone heard Cavalcade yet? I'm in love with this record. I honestly get bored listening to The Great Awake now that I've been spoiled by Cavalcade.

It's quite wonderful. As was their tour with Broadway Calls and Cobra Skulls. If you ever get a chance to see this band live, do it.
