| Let's post some good, maybe not well known folk and acoustic inspired punk bands. Let's try to steer away from the obvious ones like Mischief Brew, D, OH, Ghost Mice, etc. I'll start by posting some of my recent favorites.
Pedals On Our Pirate Ships Fear Like Us imadethismistake Punkin Pie Redbear Abortion Clinic Waste Bin Attica! Attica!
I'll keep adding to the list of course. Let's see how big/diverse this gets!

| all of Pat the Bunny's music (Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwasher's Union..) Bread and Roses Rosa Bombs and Beating Hearts the folks at riotfolk.org This Bike is a Pipe Bomb (is that obvious? I feel like that's obvious.)
is Abortion Clinic Waste Bin Jim Doyle's band? He was one of the first people I knew that liked AM! He did a one man AM! cover band at a show we used to have called Skalloween where all the bands "dressed up" as other bands. It was almost as good as a real AM! show.

Where can I get a sample of Bomb Over Beating Hearts? (besides myspace) They actually have a whole cd available for download off of myspace, but if you're really against that, there are a few songs here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=464911

if what's on their website isn't enough, search for downloads on Google blog.

I said that to my "ex-boyfriend" when he was mocking my music, haha
I like some folk punk, but I certainly don't listen to a whole lot of it. too much of one thing can get annoying. maybe I just haven't found the good stuff yet.

I think that depends on how broad your definition of folk-punk is. I've never been good at putting music into categories because frankly I don't think most of it fits into one anymore... I think my reaction to "folk punk" spreads a little most towards folk than other peoples... now, if you start hating on folk music there might be trouble.

"folk-punk," IMO is one of the most subjective of all categories. I've heard alot of people call The Riot Before and other bands that sound more punky to me folk-punk. I mean, wikipedia has The Tossers listed as a folk-punk band. Whatevs. I'll give you back operation cliff calvin and max levine, but stick by my guns and say this is my fist is folk-punk. but that might be because i listen to their acoustic stuff, mostly.
