| Oh man me too. But I'm not sure they even ever came over here. If they did I'm unaware of it which makes it not so bad, like it's not like they played my town and I just didn't bother going.
"Oh, there's legwork" might actually be the greatest song ever recorded.

| I agree with whoever said "Oh, There's Legwork" may be one of the best songs ever recorded. It's my personal alltimefavorite song.
But getting to the point.. None More Black was fantastic and just brilliant. Kid Dynamite was great too, and so is Jason's new band, LaGrecia. (If you want to check them out, I have a few of their songs.. also there are videos from when they were on the punkyard on youtube). I prettymuch just love anything Jason Shevchuk touches, I guess. But no really. Everyone should check out None More Black. Their best songs are:
Oh, There's Legwork Never Heard of Corduroy We Dance On The Ruins of The Stupid Stage 10 Ton Jiggawatts and the demo of That's So Franco.
So so so good. Check them out.

| Subject: You Suck! But Your Peanut Butter Is Okay. Sun Mar 09, 2008 4:37 am | |
| So I know there are at least a couple of you in here who like None More Black so this might already be common knowledge to you.. but for the rest of you.. they had a song on their album This Is Satire that was inspired by touring with Against Me! Jason said the following in an interview apparently;
"We were on tour with Against Me!, it was right after their Fat debut had come out. And for some crazy reasons, they were getting a lot of shit for signing to Fat. A lot of their diehard fans were really giving them shit because of it. Anyone who had anything to say to them, they would welcome them with their open arms, they would invite them to backstage. And one night in Pittsburgh, these kids approached the band with all these insults about the direction of the band while eating the band's food and drinking their beer! And that's where the title came from, these guys eating a peanut butter sandwich, like "you guys are terrible, but I'll eat your food, I'll eat what you've been rewarded as a touring band". The song is not about Against Me! in particular, it's about a certain person who treated them with disrespect."
Here's the lyrics, if you're interested:
Would you exist without all the fists The music clenched for you? You're dressed up like a full-bodied anarchist Right down to your views
It's more than points that break, there's no threat, little promise To your life, so you take it out on music. Your talk is cheap, and I don't want to hear it Go preach to your fucking choir
You piss and moan for what's no longer your own You're pissing on the motives of my friends I understand what you're saying, what you're going through But your point never ends.
It's more than points that break, there's no threat, little promise To your life, so you take it out on music Your talk is cheap, and I don't want to hear it Go preach to your fucking choir
The ticket price, the songs that you write. We've got out eyes on you The internet is just a minute away And I'm telling on you
It's more than points that break, there's no threat, little promise To your life, so you take it out on music Your talk is cheap, I don't want to hear it Go preach to your fucking choir
-You Suck! But Your Peanut Butter Is Okay (None More Black)
Its crazy how it still totally applies. Love that band.

| Yeah there's a few song titles on File Under Black that are lines from Seinfeld. (Everyday Balloons, Bizarro Me, Dinner's for Suckers..) Ice Cream with the Enemy was taken from Mighty Ducks 2. | |

"We dance on the ruins of the stupid stage" is a quote from Mallrats And bands with no sense of humour reference obscure Victorian poetry in their song titles.
