tabs/chords and tips for guitars.

i was wondering if anybody knew how to play joy, sink florida sink, and some others, i have all the tabs and chords

but i was wondering if you had any tips on how to play, i cant sing and strum a the same time making me sound like crap, plus i need the strum pattern for joy cause i jts cant get it...

It basically just takes practice, one day it just sort of comes to you. It's kinda like patting your head and rubbing your stomach, impossible at first but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.

Just listen to it a bunch and try to mimic the song.

its an amazing song though!
always makes me happy and smily, or i get tears in my eyes form its beuty...

Joys kinda hard to play right and sing at the same time but you get it after some practice. All their stuff is pretty easy

i played it once(really roughly) everything is off, but it sounded like joy!

im gonna play it til my fingers bleed!

Hmm, how long have you been playing? There's definitely songs that are easier than others, where the cadence of the words is basically the same as the rhythm of the guitar. Just practice the song until it's second nature and then work on the words.

ive pretty much got joy down i just need to get faster at shord changes and junk

but no matter what i do i cant sing and play sink florida sink ...

I could tape the strumming pattern for Sink,Florida,Sink if you want? I don't know how much more that would help than just listening to the song, maybe you're a visual learner. But if it helps I'd be happy to do it.

There you go, I don't know if that will help at all but I did that for a friend who was trying to learn and it did. It's basically down, down, up, up, down, up repeat for the whole song.

the g chord in joy is actually:

I was actually talking about patting my head and rubbing my belly, but f'real, since I was like ten I've wanted to be able to do it, because apparently EVERYONE I KNOW CAN FUCKING DO IT EXCEPT ME.

i don't have the tab though. i am terrible at recognizing the right chords.

for sink florida sink, in order to be able to play and sing at the same time practice doing the chords and the strum pattern for ages until it becomes almost habitual and then you'll be able to stick the words in.
strum pattern (as said before) ia DD UU DU, twice per chord. (C Am G D)

Tab it yourself, you will learn much faster that way.

i would but im slightly tone deaf and i cant even tune my own guitar....
