| It was my wife's birthday, and her mother decided to just get her a bunch of clothes. This is awesome because clothes are expensive and we have no money. Unfortunately, this involved going to the mall and spending time in clothing shops.
Is anyone else profoundly depressed by clothing stores nowadays? Watching fucking 12 year olds shop for thongs that say "VAGINA!" or something on them......the bad music.....the blank, vacant stares of the clerks, or worse yet, the hate filled eyes of the gay guy who is always in back folding pants because I clearly don't look like I belong there.
It was disturbing.
And why do women put up with all of this? Why does anyone? Clothes are so horrible, too tight, the colours are bright pastels, and you can't just buy pants, you can only get pants that looked all chopped up and worn out, thus defeating the purpose of buying new pants.
I hate malls.
And people. | |

| I buy most of my clothes on the internetz. This is partially because apparently females over 5'5" are freaks of nature and stores usually have about three pairs of jeans that will fit me in stock. But this helps me to avoid shopping malls a lot of the time. My least favorite part is probably the fluorescent lighting. This has very little to do with what you said there except....yeah, malls kinda blow. | |

| the one thing i hate is buying jeans, jeans are meant for someone who is one size all over. i was born with hips, and some jeans you cant find to fit someone with hips and a smaller waist. i have to travel to get to a mall with actuall stores that are worthy of shopping in just because my local mall has half of it shutdown, the only good thing is we just got back our movie theatre in it. i love shopping, just hate going to malls. | |

| I don't have any malls around me, so I haven't been to one in years. I don't shop often, I buy a lot online. Basically the only pants I can wear are skinny men's jeans, or extended inseams on girls jeans. But yea, I hate shopping. | |

| I usually hate going to the mall, or any retail store for that matter, because I fucking hate retail and the entire experience of being there is just depressing to me. I spend every single day holed up in a retail store, sometimes the last thing I want to do is go back into one for something. I end up doing a lot of online shopping. |

try being 5'2 and a size 3 .....I ALWAYS have to cut my pants..... Yeah my best friend is in the same situation. There actually is one store that carries a bunch different sizes and inseams for jeans that I can go to, but all their jeans are that silly pre-torn-up type. So, yeah, internet-shopping for me most of the time.

| I can't buy clothes on the internet. I know what size pants I need, but if I were to buy that exact same size of pants, I wouldn't know if they would actually fit or not. Even within the same brand. The same size and length can be super tight, loose, too long, too short, or do that thing where it tries to crush your testicles that I wish men's pants never did.
Apparently an inch in design terms is an incredibly fluid thing.

| There's nothing wrong with men wearing dresses, women can wear trousers after all!
I am limited in my cross dressing only by the cost of women's clothing, and the fact that it often does not come in my size (it does at Wal Mart, which means that a lot of giant women shop at Wal Mart, I guess).
Seriously, though - what's with the kilt? You mention it a lot, but as I understand it you are a fellow yankee imperialist dog, and not actually a Scottish type person. Or are you? I'm generally confuddled.

| I buy most of my clothes from Kohl's department store bascially because I can get pairs of socks for a dollar and urban pipeline jeans for $20/pair. And they're in tact!!! All those from Wisconsin can appreciate the quality and frugality (word?) that is Kohl's. | |

| No, I am not a Scot. I just drink that way.
Actually, wearing a kilt is just about the most comfortable thing in the world, but here is the deal with wearing a kilt, if you are going to wear one, you can't act like a bitch. Everytime I wear my kilt, someone comes up to me calling it a skirt, so I just get right back in their face and make them back down (no one wants to get beaten up by a guy in a skirt)... but on the flip side, someone always buys me a drink and people want to take their picture with me.

In what circumstances would it be appropriate to act like a bitch? Alternating Tuesdays? Is there a set schedule? What if you were actually wearing a skirt? Would you then be required to act like a bitch, or is it optional?

| Acting like a bitch is ok every third tuesday, as long as the date is odd and it is within a fortnight of your cousin's birthday | |
