The quality is kind of bland. There are a couple really high pitched background voices around 2:05-2:13. Good song, unsure of its production yet.

I can't listen to the Amazon clips or find the page on iTunes

I think the previews are gone?

Also I'm not sure Black Me Out's preview was ever up.

Well, I thought the previews sounded amazing... it's not like 30 secs is much, but the only sample that didn't sound quite right to me was Unconditional Love.
Also, I already like the electric version of fml666 much better than the acoustic

I love the grungy sound. Can't wait!

I bought FML666 on iTunes.

So good, but I wish the drums and bass were a bit louder in the mix.

I've stuck with Against Me! through New Wave, which a lot of my friends hated. I stuck through White Crosses, which a lot of my friends refused to even listen to. I thought it was extremely low to just write off a band like that. I'm not writing Against Me! off, but this is the first time I can honestly say I absolutely hate a song they've released.

It saddens me to agree but I have to. This song is just so boring and bland. It's the first song that Against Me! has done that I disliked on first listen. Before this the only songs I didn't like were because of quality (pre-Crime stuff) or because of overplaying (Thrash Unreal, Teenage Anarchist).

I admit, I like it. However, Kyle is right, drums and bass could be louder.

I'm worried that this album will be made of songs from different sessions, and sound discombobulated because of it. FML666, imo, is the most well written of the new songs. I'm bummed the studio version doesn't do it justice. The rest of the songs sound similar in structure to White Crosses; heavy on the choruses, light on the verses.

I just hope this is not a taste of things to come, because if so, I fear Against Me! is on it's final stand.

The Acoustic and Electric version just don't click with me. I'm not about the whole "OMG SELL OUTS THIS ISN'T PUNXRAWX" state of mind, it's just the song sounds bland and it's as if Laura isn't even present in it.

I would feel so much better about this whole process if this wasn't an Against Me! album. If it was just "LJG sings the TGDB", and then in a year or two when everyone (LJG, Jimmy, Andrew and either Warren/George/former drummer) had time they put a proper farewell AM! record.

The song is fucking awesome and you all know it. Catchy as shit.

Can't we just wait for the whole album to be released before we decide to lay Against Me! to rest?

I definitely have to say, after playing the song through my Harman Kardon/Pioneer sound system and pushing the bass a little more,

UGH, it sounds great. I'm assuming that like me, most people's first impressions of the song were through cell phone or laptop speakers. Give it a listen on a better setup and it sounds really great.

I don't know, I think a lot of people just expect Laura to be fucking screaming and angry all the time. Melancholy, comfortable, resigned Laura is a new shade, and I like it. Reminiscent of the most recent Menzingers album.

^^ I was also thinking the menzingers a little... but her voice is too prominent in the recording. Where's the bass?

It's not really the sound that bothers me. I'm listening for content, and the content is just bad.
