I searched the Drugs thread from before, and it was locked, so I figured I'd start another one up..

Anyways, since the weekend before last, I've been trying to try mushrooms, but something always comes up. I think I'll be getting it done on Friday, though, so I'm fucking excited. Anyone have recommendations/warnings for things (not) to do?

I've done em a few times, it's hard to say cuz everytime i've done em they've been different. First time I ate them on an empty stomach in my friends bedroom and I spent the entire night convulsing on the floor watching blood drip the ceiling.

The second time me and some friends took them em and walked threw this path in the woods for like 4 hours and it was very psychedelic and spiritual. The third time was lame cuz some dude was OD'ing on morphine and it just ruined the whole experience.

Just stay positive man, and get high before you take em to be sure. If you feel like you're having a bad trip just keep thinking to yourself 'this is awsome' and things will change for the better.

Definitely get high before you take them. DON'T DRINK. Make sure you have eaten a bit before, and stay hydrated. You'll be up for hours and eventually you might have to shit a lot. Try to only be around people that are on them too, unless you get especially good vibes from someone else.

Enjoy the trails of movement. DON'T DRIVE. Stay out of public places your first time. Just remember how awesome it is. Try to make sure you aren't stressed about anything before you do them. If you have childhood toys, those might be awesome.

Make sure you're not in an uncomfortable situation. Make sure you're not bummed about anything or anxious about shit.

The first time I took them I was sixteen and a friend of mine convinced me that we should do it in the park by my house and like, he was kind of a dick because he was annoyed that his weren't working and I started tripping balls and kind of freaked out a little bit.
Also, if you get really weak and sweaty remember that's not because you're dying its because you're shrooming.

I kind of want to do it outside, due to parents in house and shit, but it's going to be cold as fuck outside. Also, I've been advised for the first time to have someone who's sober or someone who's done them before (which we'll have someone who's done them before, but not sober), as like a designated thinker.

I'd actually had some the first weekend we tried looking for them, but we didn't have very much, due to dealer issues, but I think I was feeling it a little bit, things were a little more vivid.

So, I did mushrooms, last night, with four other people. Two of them were being kind of weird, because they didn't seem to be eating much at all, and since it wasn't even close to their first times, it wasn't all crazy and new for them, anyways. So I didn't finish my full eighth, but I was still tripping pretty hard, and when the other two left, the three of us went on a walk, and damn, that was a lot of fun.

Anyways, I think I'd definitely try them, again.

Mushrooms are ace. I've got a few but no one to take 'em with (left over from the season, everyone else finished theirs and I ain't got enough to share) so I'll probably just have a night in with my guitar some time.

Good to hear you enjoyed 'em though! One of my favourite things about shrooms is just how little of a fuck you give about anything. It's just bliss for a worrier like me

Yeah, I've still got a little bit left over that I'm thinking I'll make into some tea or something. And I'm totally there with you about the not giving a fuck, it is insanely fun. Also, I don't think I ever had so much fun just watching the snow fall.

The most of done is weed. I went to Amsterdam for a couple days over Christmas and got higher than I have ever been in my life. We used a vaporizer and seriously I was fucking gong showed for 5 hours. I've always wanted to try something more like E or shrooms or maybe acid just never had the oppurtunity.

I've never done weed, I just drink a lot.

I think its funny when people say done weed or on weed.

How long does a mushroom trip last? and are they difficult to find?

Mine last for a few hours. Between 4 and 8. I really don't remember. They grow out of cow shit around here, in the millions of cow pastures where I live. You just have to know exactly what you are looking for. I don't know about England.

When I tried them, it was about six hours from when I took them until when I came down, but it took a couple/few hours to really kick in (I took them really slowly).

Same shit over here by the sound of it. In the UK you want to be looking for "Liberty Caps". Season starts October time and ends with the first frost of winter. Best time to look is dewy mornings

I don't take shrooms anymore, but when I did I just bought them off hippy friends. I would be too nervous to pick my own. My luck I would poison myself and die.

I prefer real weed since I don't have any drug tests coming up to worry about.

Also, I tried mushrooms, again, on Saturday (I didn't have a lot, so there wasn't any visual shit going on, but I definitely still felt them). It was awesome, again, we went roaming around the area, carved an elephant face into the side of a mound of snow (and called it Mount Elephantmore), and make an inukshuk out of some big chunks of snow we cut out in this field out of town. We'll be making the rest into tea for tonight.

It is legal...but like, most of the times when I've smoked it its been with people who were already drinking underage and would've been busted for that as well a possession of paraphernalia, so I didn't really understand why they insisted on smoking fake bud, unless it was for piss test purposes...I don't really like the effects as much as authentic reefer.
