My friend was just telling me about this. Pretty damn exciting for the miners. Ten weeks is a long time to be stranded underground.

I know man. It's amazing any of them survived, let alone all 33. I think they stretched out two days' worth of rations over seventeen days, before making contact with the surface.

I'm staying up to watch it

I'd imagine there was more than 33 survivors initially (and whoever died helped keep others alive posthumously? if you catch my drift), but that's just me speculating. I spent far too long thinking about The Case of the Speluncean Explorers in legal theory :/

But I can't imagine how weird shit would get being trapped in a mine for months with a bunch of dudes.

I don't know about you guys, but this is probably the most profound thing I've ever seen.

I'm probably the least cynical I've been in about five years, and I was proud to be human for a few seconds.

I though it was really funny and cool that, I think it was the 2nd guy, kept yelling Vive Chile! And other funny things on the way up. Also the same guy brought a full bag of shit and immediately passes out rocks to people as gifts.

im from chile, and im really happy about the miners rescue but also so disappointed that this fucking government are doing with this working class problem, sebastian piñera our president is a real show man, he only want to look like a hero with his team of fascist bourgeois, is so sad that the world cant see the all problem in this country like what is happening with the hunger strike of mapuble people.
