I might be wrong, but I have a feeling this song is at least partially in reference to the table-head-smash incident. Hence the lines "There's gonna be flashing lights, you're gonna have to make a phone call home. 'Can you come down here and bail me out?'" and "You'll get no sympathy for acting like a child after making decisions like you were a man." Obviously, the decision that he made like a man is signing to Sire or "selling out" (which is also what Hot Shots is pretty overtly about) and he behaved like a "child" by reacting violently to some loser's criticism. He got no sympathy from the punk community or anyone, really.

So is their a difference between this song and Rapid Decompression? Because I get the same message from both this song. I like this song a lot more though, but I get the same vibe from both songs.
