Google's had a lot of issues with violating peoples' privacy (in the worst ways possible, too), but at the same time they're one of the few factions out there who actually fund scientific research solely for that purpose (I mean, aside from raising their reputation).

| Google is just trying to be all knowing. That is one of the usual things people expect a god/goddess to be. | |

| They're currently mapping Antarctica. My privacy is a small price to pay. | |

| Google Chrome sucks. And I definitely intend not to get the OS. To be honest, about the only services I use of theirs are maps and the search engine. | |

| i like Google Chrome a lot. and i use the search engine all the time. I use Google Maps for quick searches and stuff but prefer MapQuest for planning actual routes for trips. also, YouTube. Google Analytics kinda sucks. my uni. uses it, slows down the site like crazy. | |

| When it first came out, I had some troubles with it, and decided that Firefox was much better. Plus, it's bad enough that they know everything I search for, let alone every single thing I do on the internet.
Also, Google Scholar (I think that's what it's called?) is good for school projects.
What's Google Analytics, though?

| It's a way for other web sites to know what web sites you have been to... so not really helping the whole "fear google" thing haha | |

| I use Chrome now. It's fast as fuck.
The one or two websites that don't work in it I just jump into Firefox.

| I think if you're using an unsecured Wifi network you're opening yourself up and really take some responsibility, if I can set up a password on mine most other people can.
The other thing, where you get tracked is another simple fix, delete your cookies. And Google's not the only company doing the tracking of what you do on the Internet.
I don't really mind Google. The more they know, the less I have to search and Chrome was the only thing that would work on my sisters computer.
