why are there so many guys (and girls) from the UK on this forum? is Against Me! just much more popular there? Was there like an ad for this forum on the BBC??!?

Or does the United Kingdom just have people with awesome taste in music?

I dunno why there's so many UK fans, quite honestly. It's cool though, it means there's some people on to chat to during the day when all you guys & gals are asleep.

Metric? Feist? Sloan? Avril Lavigne? Canada sucks. But Canada has one difference over the UK - for the most part, we do not export our shitty music. We know that no one else cares. We're just happy that some musicians didn't go to America to make shitty music. It's a compliment anytime someone picks up an instrument and plays it in Canada.

I thought so too, but have you ever really listened to one of their albums? Not a 'best of' comp, mind you, an album. They were doing stuff in the '60s that people are doing now and being called innovators for. The Beatles basically covered pop music from 1960 until 2023.

Jesus, just listen to "The White Album". The biggest band in the world put THAT out. Can you imagine? It would be like U2 or Radiohead or something releasing a heavy metal album. It was that crazy.

UK has some great hardcore punk rock coming out of the southcoast.
