http://www.againstmeforum.com/song-meanings-f5/rapid-decompression-t3843.htm#132022 Not to argue, but it really is more "The Band" related than to the song. More people would think to look for it here. I'm sure it's fine in both spots.

I'm sure it's fine in both spots. And what about the video section?

But while Against Me!'s sound works in tiny clubs, Gabel says he hopes that this album, produced by Butch Vig, and its anthemic, Tom Petty-inspired punk songs is the one that finally catapults them to selling out stadiums worldwide.

| I'm glad someone mentioned paying $50, because that is one of the things that keeps me so in tact with the punk scene. I can see shows at prices I can afford. | |

| Yeah, the new album is definitely not good enough to justify paying over twenty-five bucks for a ticket or going to a giant stadium to see them.
They're not coming here anytime soon anyway though. Their concert dates in Texas are in San Antonio and effing Lubbock.

| I sneak into every corporate venue show I care to. I pay for every independantly owned or DIY venue I attend. And buy vinyl. Even if AM! shows start being $25 across the board, I'll be there, and without having paid a penny. | |

| So, if this song has a new video wouldn't it be more likely as the first single instead of teenage anarchist? | |

alright, i want some tips and tricks on how you sneak into shows. i snuck into hammerstein a few weeks ago which was surprisingly easy. i first tried to throw some security guards some cash, but they sucked and would not have any of it. so when i saw this one guard leave his door spot for two seconds i just grabbed my girlfriend and pulled her inside. i ended up seeing one of the guards who turned down my cash on the way out and was able to rub it in. should have taken my money. good times.

Unlocked back doors. Artist entrances. Walking past security with swagger like I belong. At the Masquerade in Atlanta, walking up to the ticket booth with a friend who is paying (go half-sies on the cost), walking a bit past the booth, and once she gets stamped, rub her wrist on my wrist so I have the stamp too. Saving wrist bands, and supergluing them on, Sharpie-ing them to the corrrect color as needed. Sharpie-ing (correct color and size and location) an approximation of the stamp; if questioned, say it smudged while dancing. Hopping fences into state-mandated smoker's corrals. Having a friend in the venue open a side door, or one of the non-alarmed fire exits. The methods go on and on, but it is always the same. My any means necessary. Maximum efficacy. Now, venues like The Drunken Unicorn I always pay for. Sometimes if I am forced to pay the service charge at a place like Ticket-Web, I will use the receipt - that is printed on the ticket paper and has the hologram - as my ticket to get in. I position myself in the middle of a crowd of people so the ticket ripper/handstamper/bouncer/stamp checker is overwhelmed, and I get in by passing the receipt off as a ticket, and then sell the real ticket lower than face to a kid at a sold out show that otherwise would not be in. It is the state's bullshit fire-code restrictions that were going to prevent that kid from getting in, so he gets in for less that I did, and I recoup the service fee. Blam.

| haha some of those strategies are pretty involved. guess i'd feel a little guilty if i didn't pay for that many shows and liked some of the bands though. i really wish more places would stop using ticketmaster. the last out of town show ticket i bought was $12. they charged a $3.50 service fee and then a $4.00 convenience charge and i had no choice. absurd. | |
