Tom Gabel interviews Chris Hannah of Propagandhi

I really liked Tom's questions. I saw the whole band watching Propagandhi at the HOH so I was wondering if they were big fans or not.

interesting when artists interview artsits, they acctually have fun, unlike a reporter, i remember an interview for a website when the guy asked tom why he put a tiger on the cover of new wave, ITS A PANTHER! was toms response. they gotta get thier facts straight.

I always wondered what kind of mayo Chris used.

I can only imagine what he would do with William Shatner and stampeding elephants.

Tom did a good job because he didn't waste our time by talking about himself like many interviewers do.

Chris sounds like a prick talking about the Weakerthans. They are infinetely better than Propagandhi in my opinion.

I don't think he sounds like a prick; he's just poking a little fun at them. Chris is always sarcastic. And not that you can really compare The Weakerthans to Propagandhi, but at least Prop is constantly improving and changing, which is more than I can say for the Weakerthans.

chris comes off like a total cock in this interview
propagandhi has gotten progressively worse (and more butt-rock) since Samson left
the weakerthans have become one of the best current rock bands
he might be bitter about that. the pro tools comment is especially dickish

i also think chris is being horribly revisionist about his own band's history. he describes shit on Fat as sound like a "musical cartoon", seemingly forgetting that his own band's early material sounded an awful lot like everything else on Fat. but its cool. keep talking about metal and cassettes.

Chris Hannah is rad and Supporting Caste is the best album of the year.

What the hell is butt-rock? Compare Reunion Tour and Potemkin City Limits (both bands' fourth albums) and PCL is much better. RT sounds like The Weakerthans are just going through the motions with the same old stuff we've heard before. I've never seen him use the phrase "musical cartoon" either; I've read interviews where he says he doesn't hate How to Clean, but he wrote it almost 20 years ago and thinks they've done better. They play songs off Less Talk all the time still too.

I don't think he's as bad as everyone says he is.
