i like the songs, but still i think its all too overproduced.
and i know that sounds bad, because it is said so much about a ton of records..
but they seriously played with so many random effects and wierd shit on this record..

Yeah, I definitely like the regular old acoustic versions better, but I still really like a bunch of these songs. I'm not sure how much I would have liked them if I heard them like this first.

The beginning of Random Hearts caught me off guard.

It all reminds me of Butch Vig's remix to wp4p

I love it, it's totally different than anything Against Me! has put out. I think it showcases Tom's diverse taste in music, you can see the influence of these songs.

Amputations and Harsh Realms both get A+'s in my book. And 100 Years of War for the gang vocals.

Oh I def. still like it all a lot, some of the songs just caught me off guard. I'm really interested in seeing what the next AM! album will be like.

I haven't listened to 100 Years of War yet, I forgot about the gang vocals on that one. I'll have to listen to it next.

And you better appreciate, that one 'time' was really hard to hit.

I love the album version, but Anna is definitely my favorite I'd say.

i do however like that these songs are completely different from anything like against me! songs
now it seems more appropriate that it was released under Toms name

tom said that jordan is releasing some 7"s for his solo stuff, so hopefully its the acoustic versions

i love the xylophone in the chorus of conceptual paths, but could do without the flanger.

now i'm listening to anything else until i get the hard copy. i can tell i'm going to love these songs after a few listens, but this isn't like ANYTHING i was expecting. which is nice, i guess.

EDIT: i fucking LOVE 100 Years of War! and Harsh Realms! i wasn't too nuts about them at first.

buuuuuut the echo-y vocals on conceptual paths and harsh realm are terrible. like i really really dislike them. to the point that just that effect on the vocals makes the songs unlistenable.

and random hearts wont play for me.

and i'm aware i'm gonna get chewed out over this, but it's just my opinion so please don't think less of me.

I actually didn't notice them on Harsh Realms until you said that. They are pretty distracting.
